Byron, Executive Producer
As a lifelong entrepreneur, Byron has created numerous small businesses
since the 1990s. He grew up in Connecticut and received a Bachelor's
degree in Finance from Bentley College. He has worked for a Manhattan-based
dot-com, a Chicago based commodities trading firm, and has been
active in the Portland-area real estate scene. With his diverse
business background Byron leads Portland Films LLC in its die
hard mission. |

Bryan
O’Connor, Writer & Director
A lifelong music, movie, and writing enthusiast, Bryan O’Connor
leads the way in Portland Films' writing and directorial efforts.
A Bentley College graduate, O'Connor recently moved to South Portland
with his wife, Jill, and works as Accounting Manager at the United
Way of Greater Portland. He cites among his cinematic influences
Wes Anderson, Buster Keaton, Donald O'Connor, and several of the
monkeys from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Tom Sarna, Associate Producer
Veteran broadcast and advertising professional turned indie
film hobbyist, Sarna was born in Detroit and raised in the California
Bay Area. A graduate of the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts,
Sarna has plied his skills as Marketing Director, Dot Com boom to
bust entrepreneur, and memorizer of useless song lyrics and movie
quotes. |

Sam
Applegate, Actor
Sam Applegate was born in Pittsburgh and spent his childhood
in Stonington, Connecticut. At the age of twelve he moved to central
Maine. He holds a BS in Environmental Science from University of
Maine at Orono. His eclectic experience has brought him from Nantucket
to Boston, and British Columbia. After a long hiatus he has returned
to his passions - acting and music. Applegate is thrilled to be
a part of I Quit and to be working with Portlandfilms.com. |

Michael
Best, Actor
Michael Best knew he was destined to be an actor
three years ago, after chomping on his director's shoe during a
Zombie casting call. Since that savory day, he's appeared in several
plays with Portland based horror theater creeps, Running
Over Productions. He has also done work with several other Portland
theaters. Michael has acted in various entertaining local film projects,
with I Quit being his first feature length film. Most recently,
he participated in the 48 Hour Film Project. Also, keep an eye out
for the independent film Monster
in the Woods. Michael's professional goal is to have a beer
with actor Bruce Campbell and learn his well kept secrets of lounge
singing and zombie slaying. |

McLean, Actor
Bill
McLean has been in several feature films over the past five
years. He began with small, credited roles and it seemed that each
role got larger as he went. He loves making everyone around him
laugh. He was born in Maine, one of seven children, and grew up
poor but hard-working. His film
experience includes roles in: Disregarding Dick, The
Fight, The Hit by Coppermine Films, and the lead role
in Smashed. He recently began work as a lead on the a full
length science fiction feature film: Dark Vengeance; Banishment
by Maddog Entertainment. |

Carlton, Actor
Cynthia Carlton is making her film debut in I Quit
She has most recently appeared on stage in Bury
the Dead, Bucket of Blood, and Wharf Rats.
Ms. Carlton is also active behind the scenes as stage manager and
production assistant. Her passion for entertaining began as a teenager
and she plans to continue her work as long as humanly possible |

Chelsea Cook, Actor A Master of Dialects and Mimicry, Playwright,
Puppet-maker, Musician, Stilt-Walker, and stage combat veteran,
Chelsea is honored to work with the brilliant people at Portland
Films. Armed with a BFA in Theatre from University of Southern Maine
and some plucky myopia, Cook has followed her artistic bliss in
America and abroad (Europe, Brazil, and Japan). Her theatre work
includes Children's Theatre of Maine and Running Over Productions,
while her television work includes WSCH6 and both writing and acting
in Channel 2's "The Show". I Quit is her first film. Chelsea currently
resides in South Portland and writes. |

Chuck has been performing various extra, character, supporting
and lead roles in independent film and theater since 2002. Recent
work includes soon-to-be released Maine-based productions, Monster
In The Woods, Altering Conclusions, and Off-Air.
Given his exceptional dramatic range, he is confident that his breakthrough
role on primetime TV will be as the dead body in the opening scene
on Law & Order. |
